Feng Shui refers to an ancient Chinese practice based on the Taoist vision and understanding
of nature, particularly on the idea that land is alive and filled with chi or energy.
The Chinese believed that the land’s energy could either make or break the kingdom.
Thus, the land had to be respected and space and matter needed to be arranged in
accordance with the nature.
Feng Shui is the art of placing and arranging matter and space in the correct manner
in order to achieve harmony with the environment. Prof. Prem firmly believes that
people are affected for better or worse by their surroundings.
He enumerates that Feng Shui is a guide that enables one to act with integrity,
respecting the earth and working with the flow of nature. It can be as simple as
placing a couch in the best location in the living room or as complex as placing
a house in the best location on the property.
Prof. Prem’s research in this field is based on three basic principles of Science
– Law of Gravitational Force, Law of Reflection and Refraction of Light, and Law
of Cosmic Colours. He observes that a regular practice of Feng Shui attracts a smooth
flow of positive energy into the surroundings, sweeping away all the ills and negativities.
The harmony thus created can be harmony at home, in relationships, in business or
any other aspect of a person’s life, leading to success and development in all spheres.
Personal relations can experience smoothness with the right orientation. In companies
breakdowns, lockouts, absence of loyalty and lack of commitment amongst employees,
betrayal by business partners etc. can be avoided by choosing the right décor and
infrastructure and placing it in the most auspicious way.
